Our junior students recently had the privilege of participating in an indigenous hoop dancing presentation by MASC artist Makhena Rankin Guerin. The presentation was made possible with a grant thanks to ImmersArt (https://immersart.ca/), a funding program for non-profit organizations that offer cultural, artistic and heritage activities in French immersion schools. 

Makhena is dedicated to preserving and continuing her Indigenous culture for future generations and she certainly enthralled our students with her story and dancing!
